A380 Makes First Commercial Flight
Filed in archive News by Melissa Petri on October 25, 2007

The much-awaited (and much delayed) A-380 flew it's first commercial flight today. Singapore Air's SQ380 flew from Singapore Changi Airport to Sydney Airport with a total of almost 7.5 hours.
Majority of the much coveted seats were sold on eBay. Apart from the successful eBayers, media representatives were also on-board to enjoy the flight.
35 nationalities enjoyed the flight to Sydney. Among the majority were Aussies, Singaporeans, Brits and Americans.
The S$1.9 Million proceeds from the auction will divided between Singapore and Sydney charities, and "a global humanitarian organization".
